ALLOY 6060

This alloy has nearly the same property's as the 6063 alloy, but has less magnesium and thus becoming a material which is easier to extrude very complex profiles. This alloy is commonly used for hollow sections.  It takes a good surface finish, Is corrosion resistant, And has good heat treatable properties.More detailed and intricate shapes are available in this alloy, It forms and machines well.

ALLOY 6061

This alloy is beneficial when additional strength is required, or better machining is a consideration. However there are limitations with the 6061alloy, in that it is not recommended for critical finishes. Most versatile of the heat treatable group, It will take considerable forming in T4; Good corrosion resistance: Used mostly in structural applications.

ALLOY 6063

This alloy is probably the most popular of all extrusion alloys. It takes a good surface finish, Is corrosion resistant, And has good heat treatable properties. More detailed and intricate shapes are available in this alloy, It forms and machines well.
